The National Universities Commission has given Elizade University, Ilara-Mokin, Ondo State full accreditation in all its Engineering programmes.
The approved programmes are Automotive Engineering, Civil Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering and Information and Communication Technolog.
This is in addition to the full accreditation already given to programmes in the Faculties of Basic and Applied Sciences, Social and Management Sciences and Humanities by the Commission.
The Law programme of the university has also received the approval of the commission and that of the Council of Legal Education.
It would be recalled that the Council for the Regulation of Engineering in Nigeria earlier gave its approval to Engineering programmes in the institution. Similarly, the Institute of Chartered Accountant of Nigeria and the Association of Certified Chartered Accountant each gave full accreditation to the Accounting programme of the university with 11 exemptions.
Reacting to the development, the Acting Vice-Chancellor of the University, Prof. Theophilus Fadayomi, said he was not surprised, given the enormous teaching facilities provided by the university and the carefully selected faculty members.
Fadayomi congratulated the students and their parents on the feat, promising that the University would not rest on its oasis.
He also enjoined the students to study very hard to be able to graduate in flying colours.
