2a. “The aim of Quality Assurance of a drug product is to ensure that the drug provided to the patient is safe, efficacious and of good quality” Discuss (6 marks)

2b. Enumerate the steps to be taken by Government to achieve the target of greater reliance on local drug production and discuss the role of the government in drug registration (14 marks)

 

  1. Discuss the main objectives of a National Drug Formulary (NDF) as established by the

WHO model formulary, and the importation and exportation of drugs (20 marks)

 

  1. Write briefly on the following in relation to essential drug supply systems:

  3. c. Monitoring and Evaluation
  4. Herbal/Traditional Remedies
