EDU 754 Integrated Science Methods (2 CR) Time Allowed: 2 Hours
Instructions: Answer questions number one (1) and any other two (2) questions.
1a(i). What do you understand by a Module?
(ii). State and justify the reasons for teaching Integrated Science in Nigerian Schools. (10 marks)
b(i). Describe a marking scheme.
(ii). Identify five situations in which you may use essay questions to assess your

(iii). Explain the relationship between subsumers and advance organizers in classroom Instruction.
(iv). Identify the two process which could lead to meaningful learning according to

- i. Date of development of the project;
- ii. The skills the project expects students to acquire in Integrated Science;
iii. The approach used in the project;
- iv. The focus of the philosophy of NISP; and
- v. The financiers of the Projec
- Discuss five roles you are expected to perform as a Science teacher in the laboratory apart from
teaching Integrated Science or any other Science subject.
3a. Identify and explain five (5) factors you would consider in the selection of teaching methods for use in
teaching Integrated Science.
- Identify and discuss causes of lack of uniformity in the teaching of Science in the past and the effects of
these in the teaching of Science in Schools, before the adoption of Integrated
4 a. State and explain five roles of Integrated Science teachers in the achievement of objectives for teaching
b(i). Describe a good Integrated Science Scheme of of work.
(ii). What are the factors you must consider to enable you draw a dynamic scheme of work from Integrated
