The Vice Chancelor of National open university of Nigeria invites Staffs and the General public to the inaugural lecture for its Olusegun Obasanjo Centre for Good Governance.
Professor Abdalla Adamu says that the lecture will hold at the Umaru Musa Yar’Adua Centre, Opp. Sheraton Hotel Central Area, Abuja, on Tuesday, 2nd May, 2017 by 1:30PM.
The lecture will be delivered by former Nigeria president, Chief Olusegun Obasanjo (GCFR).
According to professor Adamu, President Muhammadu Buhari would be the special guest of honour, while former Ghanaian President, Mr John Mahama and former Chief Justice of Nigeria Aloma Mukhtar would co-chair the occasion.
Prof. Adamu also stated that part of the reason for setting up the center was to help in facilitating research toward achieving excellence in good governance and development in Nigeria
He went on to say that part of the school’s effort to make noun credible and visible was to create centers of excellence.
The center was named after Obasanjo because of his effort in resuscitating NOUN in 2013 after it was abandoned in 1984
Prof. Adamu said that it was the school’s honor that they requested the center be named after him and he accepted.
