Igbinedion University Expels 400 level Law Student

400 level law student of Igbinedion University in Edo state has been expelled for allegedly drugging and raping his course mate. This was disclosed by Prince Gwamnishu Harrison, an activist, who shared the story on his Facebook page.

Harrison said the accused student has been arrested. He said the school management expelled the boy after carrying out its investigation. He stated that he got a call from one of the students to get Justice for a female student.

He noted that the boy drugged and raped the girl in January 2018, after which he threatened her not to tell anyone. He said one Mr Andrew Mani Alphonsus was the person who assured the student that the boy would be arrested. It was only then she decided to open up on the incident. Prince said after he was called upon he immediately informed the Police operatives to arrest the 400 level Law Student.

It was reported that the 400level student was bailed out by his father who came from Abuja. The school management found the act as indiscipline on the part of the father and an unfair judgement to the student raped expelled the boy. The student was expelled from Igbinedion University yesterday.
