We all know how expensive it is to study in National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN) especially in this Nigeria economic crises. Getting a source of income, no matter how little it may be is something that most National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN) student wise for, that is why today I am going to be sharing some few tips on how to search for good paying jobs while still school in NOUN.

Firstly, I would advise you to look for jobs online, especially one that do not require too much experience and educational qualification. There are some websites where you can search for available jobs in Nigeria like joberman.com and yokbey.com, they let you post your CV for free so that potential employers can contact you personally and you can also search for available vacancies from reputable companies in Nigeria.

Secondly, if you have any skills that you think can bring in some money, you can start putting it into good use, it doesn’t have to be a special skill. Skills like cleaning, cooking, dancing, website design or writing skills can help fetch some quick cash if you think carefully about who might need your services. Let me take cleaning for example, you can offer to clean people’s homes, cars and offices in exchange for cash. I would advice you don’t charge too much so that they will be willing to give you the job since there are professional companies that offers some services.

Thirdly, you can take your cv to places like hotels, restaurant or offices that may need secretaries, bar attendant, restaurant waiter/waitress or massagers. You can also let your friends and family members know that you need a simple job that can fetch you a little money, also tell them the skills you have, and that you won’t reject any honest job.

Finally, try to get a job that gives you enough time to read and attend to school activities if not the whole purpose of looking for the job in the first place as been lost.

I also want to let you know that National Open University of Nigeria TMAs will soon start, so if you have not started reading or attending tutorials/lectures, please start now because I heard TMA questions will not be printable this semester and it will also be timed, this means that the moment you open a TMA question you must answer and submit it or you will fail that particular TMA.
